So I saw these bars at Whole Foods tonight and hey - who am I to pass up untried chocolate? I picked up a bar of 70% and found it sort of...well...lacking. The texture was good, it was nice and firm/brittle, but honestly pretty bland. None of that great tang and fruit/floral blooming that happens when dark melts in your mouth. More earthy, I guess. Way less sweet than I think I'm used to, not that that matters especially.
But, so...am I missing the point? Anyone who loves this stuff want to extoll its virtues and give me something to think about as I sort of half-heartedly consume the rest of the bar (cuz it IS dark chocolate after all)?
